Election and Abortion

Making abortion illegal is not going to stop abortions, just make them dangerous. Did prohibition stop the use of alcohol? No, it made people lawbreakers and sometimes dead from bootleg hooch. It is more so with illegal abortions. The possible unfortunate consequences are too many to describe here. Attempts can fail. They can leave a damaged person and a damaged child, BUT this anti~abortion concept is waaaay bigger than a woman's right to control her own body. It is that! But having a child is a life~altering experience. So this is about allowing another person or group to make decisions about someone’s entire life--both mother and child.

What does it mean in the preamble of our constitution... "to secure the Blessings of Liberty to our selves and our Posterity”...? Note that the founders valued Liberty enough to capitalize this sacred word! So if we truly love the freedom that we brag about, we have to vote for the people who will not allow it to be chipped away by congress or court or any other entity. I earn my freedom by giving you yours. And I do truly feel blessed by it!
